GREAT BARRIER REEF HOLIDAYS

OVERVIEW

As the Great Barrier Reef is just that, ’a reef’ it would be wrong to say you actually stay ‘on the reef’ what you can do is stay on one of the many island resorts that make up the GBR region. In this we include the Whitsunday Islands as they do sit within the marine park area designated as The Great Barrier Reef.

The designated Marine Park area stretches from the tip of Cape York down to north of Bundaberg in the south. This area falls under the control of the Great Barrier Reef and Marine Park Authority, to visit their website CLICK HERE
